The Santa Cruz Oil Painters (SCOP) are a
group of Santa Cruz area artists at all levels. Organized by painters
working in the oil medium, membership has been opened to artists working
in other mediums as well.
SCOP is dedicated to providing opportunities to gather, network and
benefit from each others’ painting experiences and to grow artistically.
Weekly plein air painting outings are arranged in Santa Cruz, Monterey
and other Bay Area counties. Members have access to an extensive and
growing library of instructional DVDs. Art workshops and retreats are
arranged to further their memberships’ art education.
The Friends of the Library invite the public to an Artists’ reception on
June 26th from 2 - 4pm.
