Joining the FRIENDS exhibit will be the participants of the Scotts Valley Photography Contest, sponsored by the Scotts Valley Arts Commission. The purpose of the contest was to honor Scotts Valley through photographic imagery, to create a sense of community and to involve the public through participation.

Kuzanga Marimba Dance Party!

All Ages Dance Party!

With roots in Zimbabwe’s Shona Culture and traditionally used for both trance and dance, Kuzanga Marimba’s interlocking melodies and rhythms hold a multi-generational appeal.

Band members play seven wooden marimbas: sopranos, tenors, baritone, and bass, punctuated by hosho (gourd rattles) and singing. Don’t miss the chance for kids and adults to learn about these unique instruments and experiment with playing them.
